About Me
Welcome! I'm Dr. Noah Asch, Psy.D., and I'm delighted you've found your way to my page. As a clinical psychologist with over 15 years in the field, I've had the privilege of helping people from all walks of life navigate their personal journeys towards emotional well-being and resilience.
My path in psychology began at John Kennedy University, where I earned my doctorate. I've worked in a variety of settings - from the bustling hallways of elementary and high schools to a hospital neuropsychological outpatient clinic, a non-profit agency, a community mental health clinic, and private practice. Each experience has enriched my understanding of the human mind and spirit, teaching me that everyone's story is unique and deserving of compassionate, personalized care.
I'm passionate about using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients. These aren't just certifications on my wall - they're tools I use every day to help people overcome challenges and rediscover joy in their lives.
Anxiety, stress, and worry are often unwelcome companions in life's journey. Having worked with countless individuals across different age groups and backgrounds, I've developed a deep understanding of how these issues can impact our daily lives. I'm here to work alongside you, using my experience and training to help you develop practical strategies for managing stress, challenging unhelpful thoughts, and building a more resilient you.
Whether you're a child navigating school pressures, a teen dealing with social anxieties, or an adult facing life's complex challenges, I'm here to listen, support, and guide you towards the peace of mind you deserve. Let's work together to write the next chapter of your story - one of growth, healing, and renewed hope.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is active, collaborative, and results-oriented. I challenge clients to overcome fears and hopelessness to lead more fulfilling lives, while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment. I provide tools and skills, empowering you to implement them in your daily life. My sessions are focused and guided by what my client identifies as the most important use of their time on that particular day. My practice and treatment are influenced by data that I collect from my clients.
Throughout treatment, I measure client ratings on their mood throughout the week to track client progress, and also collect data about how I’m doing as a therapist in order to increase my effectiveness with each client. My style is professional yet approachable, balancing trust, rapport, humor, and challenge. Research indicates that positive therapy outcomes are largely dependent on the therapist-client relationship. Thus, I prioritize cultivating a strong human connection with each client.
